Academy means learning based on
practical experience for practical application.
Concrete pumping services have studied
the long-term signifi cance of qualifi
ed operator training on both accident
frequency and on costs over a protrated
period. The results clearly indicate that
investment in training pays dividens
– in more ways than one.
With an optimized range of topics in
the fi elds of management, service and
maintenance, Putzmeister customers in
Aichtal or locally anywhere in the world
have the opportunity to gain the practical
skills they need for daily work with
their concrete pump.
Over the last winter semester 2009/ 2010,
the PM Academy training staff were called
upon to hold an increasing number
of individual seminars on site for customer-specifi
c training. Customer proximity
was a decisive factor in the success of
these training events.
These seminars concentrate on safe operation
of the concrete pump, response in
case of breakdown and emergency situations,
as well as effi cient application for
concrete transport. The demand for this
type of training is set to increase in the
future.
Realistic practical training in
our own rooms or on your site
Practical training plays a pivotal role in
all PM academy seminars and workshops.
Fully functional assemblies are
available for training purposes in two
rooms encompassing an area of 250 m 2
for the PM Academy at Putzmeister. This
allows seminar participants to put the
theory they have learned into practice
in a real application situation. The individual
functions of concrete pumps are
illustrated using cut-away models and
measures to remedy breakdowns are
carried out in practice.
