AppendixAppendix D: Replacing the EFIS-D60 Internal Backup Battery1. Remove the two screws (either #1 Phillips or 7/64” hex, depending on when your unitwas manufactured) from the small, rectangular battery door on the side of the EFIS-D60.Remove the battery door. Do not remove any other screws from the case of the unit.2. If you previously had a battery, disconnect it from the EFIS-D60 by unplugging thebattery connector and gently pulling out old battery. It is safe to gently pull on the batterywire to remove the battery.3. Insert the new battery with the bumpy side up.4. Connect the battery connector to the battery. The connector is keyed; make sure it ispositioned correctly.5. Position the connector so it is centered on the end of the pack. Verify that the batterypack will not interfere with insertion of either of the door screws.6.
