The automatic channelassignment reduces mutual interference (or interference with other access pointsoutside of its cluster) and maximizes Wi-Fi bandwidth to help maintain theefficiency of communication over the wireless network.You must start channel management to get automatic channel assignments; it isdisabled by default on a new access point.At a specified interval, the Channel Manager maps access points to channel useand measures interference levels in the cluster. If significant channel interference isdetected, the Channel Manager automatically re-assigns some or all of the accesspoints to new channels per an efficiency algorithm (or automated channelplan).The Channel Management page shows previous, current, and planned channelassignments for clustered access points. By default, automatic channelassignment is disabled.
