How were comments invited at issues and options stage?
3.7 A consultation booklet and questionnaire was published, and distributed
with a letter to individuals and stakeholders already on the Council’s LDF
database, and also made available at Council offices, libraries, exhibitions
and at various other Council information points. The Issues and Options
document was available on our website with full details of the consultation

3.8 An exhibition was also held, at the following venues:
Tues 12 July Exhibition - Tuesday Market Place
Fri 15 July � Exhibition – shop unit on Broad Street
Sat 16 July Exhibition – shop unit on Broad Street
Wed 27 July Meeting at Hunstanton Town Council
Fri 29 July � Exhibition – Town Square Downham Market
Thurs 4 August Exhibition – Hunstanton Town Hall
Thurs 11 August Exhibition – Town Hall Downham Market
Tues 16 August Meeting at Downham Market Town Council
The exhibition comprised themed boards setting out the key issues and
options. Consultation material and planning officers were available, and
boards and clipboards were provided to enable those attending the
exhibitions to give their immediate comments on the issues raised in the
consultation.
3.9 Other methods of publicity were:
� Wraparound spread in Citizen newspaper (Wed 6 July 2005)
� Article in Your Council magazine (Autumn 2005)
� Use of the council’s website and West Norfolk Partnership website
� Letters to individuals and stakeholders already on the LDF mailing list
� Advertisements in local papers
� Press release
� Leaflet drops (at Council offices and libraries), and roving leaflet
distribution on the days on which exhibitions were held
� Posters and A-boards at exhibition venues
� These dates were market days, and were chosen as exhibition dates to take
advantage of the higher number of visitors in each centre.
