Regulation 25 Consultation (2009) Introduction 6.1 The Core Strategy Regulation 25 document was produced in February 2009 and published for public consultation for six weeks starting on Monday 23 rd February to 5pm on Monday 6 th April 2009. The document is structured in the following way: � Vision � Policies for places: Settlement Hierarchy King’s Lynn Downham Market Hunstanton Rural Areas Coastal Areas � Area wide policies: Sustainable Development Housing The economy Transportation Environmental Assets Community, Social & Culture � Key Diagrams � Implementation 6.2 Within each chapter we adopted a standard approach: � Elements of the Visions supported by this Chapter � Context � Consultation – what you have told us � Evidence – What it tells us and implications for policy � Sustainability Appraisal – What it tells us � What have we learnt � Policy approach � (Consultation response) Question � Justification 6.3 The results were collated from the previous consultations (outlined earlier in this report) and rolled forward into this document into the ‘What you have told us’ section. The Council specified its preferred policy approach on each of these policy areas, and explained where the policy approach has come from by including key issues from the consultation results, evidence and the sustainability appraisal. The Regulation 25 document was a consultation document to propose policy approaches rather than a draft Core Strategy. 19
