Butof the 16 state senators whowere originally targeted, onlysix appear likely to face an electionthreatening removal. Andbefore recall elections can beheld, supporters need to findcandidates to run against theincumbents.Still, voter outrage remainshigh in many places, helping tostir interest in the recalls.“A lot of legislators are goingto be looking over their shouldersa little more in the future,”said Michael Kraft, a professorof political science at theUniversity of Wisconsin atGreen Bay. “And if they are inthe middle of a recall effort,they might be nervous aboutthat.
