LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• Preparing the labels!• Labels need to be loosenedin order to work right and getshared edges opened up.• Step one - hold labels at theend of your right side. Usethe table available at yourwork space. This way youwill not lose labels.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• Grab label stack in themiddle and fan the ends onboth sides, away from youon the left hand side andtowards you on your righthand side. While doing thishold tight in the middle.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• Bend one end of the label stackback until the end is straightand hold tight at the straightside.• Release the bent end and thelabels are back in the originalshape.• The labels are now ready for themachine.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• Insert labels into magazine!• This is the only way to addlabels when the machine isrunning full speed since thetime inside the magazine,where no pressure isapplied, is very short• Hold the prepared stack oflabels against the upperedge, above the label backupplate, of the labels in themagazine.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• Move the back-up plate backand drop the labels down.• Bring the label back-up plateforward to the stack you justdropped in the magazinewithout pushing the labelsforward.• Pad down the labels towardsthe fixed side and from thetop side until the stack isuniform as shown.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• The most important task tomake the machine work is touse the right size parts forthe label.• The parts are marked andcolor coded to make it easyto find the right size parts.• All parts must suite the labeland fit for the label heightand the jar diameter.• Check the set-up sheet andset the numbers right.

Thefingers holding thelabels and the labelstop bar with thesensor. The labelsare in perfect positionto the vacuum bar.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• The picture on the top rightshows the adjustment screwfor the label stop sensor.• To make a preciseadjustment, in any direction,there is a scale and a pointerinstalled.• You will find this scale on theinside of the holder.• Tighten the clamp lever afterany adjustment.• The pointer should be on #10 or 11

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• The label position to thevacuum bar is the mostimportant adjustment.• If the vacuum bar is touchingthe labels or if the labels are toofar away you have problemswith the label pick up.• The picture to the right showsan ideal set up. Please note thesmall gap at the left side of thevacuum bar. The right side isjust touching the labels. This isthe picture you need to seewhen the magazine is set upright.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!• It is important that the labelis set up right in the labelmagazine.• The labels have to bealigned to the fixed side ofthe magazine.• The adjustable side fingerhas to be onto the first label.This holder is set up to tapertowards the front, do notsqueeze the labels in tight.

LANGGUTH E224Operating manual for operators!Label transport adjustments!• Adjust label down hold• Ensure that pressure roller forceslabel forward• Ensure that the idler roller turnswhen a label is moved over theglue roller. Check for the positionto the glue roller. Even top tobottom and the distance to theglue roller.
