Chris hasbeen with <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> for morethan two decades.Khanyisile KweyamaBS Administration (USA), PDM,MM Human Resources47, was appointed executive director,<strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> South Africa Limitedwith effect from 1 September <strong>2012</strong>.Khanyisile formerly served on theexecutive committee of Platinum,during which time she enhanced HRprogrammes and significantly improvedrelations with unions and brought wagenegotiations to a successful conclusion.She gained corporate experience in anumber of international companies,including BMW, Altech and BarloworldLtd, holding executive rolesincorporating human resources,industrial relations, corporate affairs,stakeholder relations andtransformation.John MacKenzieMSc Eng, MBL44, is CEO of Copper. He joined the<strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> Gold and UraniumDivision in 1990 and was promoted tovice president of <strong>Anglo</strong> Coal, South<strong>American</strong> Operations in 1999. In 2004,he became general manager of theMinera Loma de Níquel operation inVenezuela. John was appointed CEO ofBase Metals’ zinc operations in 2006,and was appointed to his currentposition in 2009.Norman MbazimaFCCA, FZICA54, was appointed CEO of Kumba IronOre with effect from 1 September <strong>2012</strong>.He joined <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> in 2001 atKonkola Copper Mines plc. He wassubsequently appointed global CFOfor <strong>Anglo</strong> Coal. He became executivedirector of finance at <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong>Platinum in June 2006 and laterstepped in as joint acting CEO. Prior tothis, Norman was CEO of Scaw Metalsfrom May 2008 and later CEO ofThermal Coal from October 2009,a position he held until <strong>2012</strong>.Philippe MellierMsc Eng, MBA57, was appointed CEO of De BeersGroup in July 2011. He began his careerin 1980 with the Ford Motor Company,where he occupied various seniormanagement positions over 19 years.In 1999 Philippe joined Renault asa senior vice president in charge ofEuropean sales, and was a memberof the management board. In 2001he moved to Volvo AB to becomechairman and CEO of Renault Trucks,and a member of the Volvo Groupexecutive committee. In 2003, Philippebecame president of Alstom Transportand was appointed executive vicepresident of Alstom Group a year later.Duncan WanbladBSc (Eng) Mech,GDE (Eng Management)46, is Group director, Other Miningand Industrial businesses. He began hiscareer at Johannesburg ConsolidatedInvestment Company Limited in 1990.He was appointed to the board of<strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> Platinum in 2004.Duncan was appointed joint interimCEO of <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> Platinum in2007, before taking over as CEO of<strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong>’s copper operations in2008.
