Searching for materials and specifications that contain substances on thislist can support proactive obsolescence risk analysis workflows.• Applying the latest legislation updates will improve the accuracy of restricted substancesreporting and obsolescence risk analysis.• REACH reports in particular require the latest version of the REACH Candidate List to bein place, together with associated ‘Where Used’ data.System requirementsThis release of the <strong>Restricted</strong> <strong>Substances</strong> <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Module</strong> is available for GRANTA MI versions 5and 6, but compatibility with your existing system depends on whether you need to upgrade anexisting <strong>Restricted</strong> <strong>Substances</strong> database using <strong>Data</strong> Update files.• If you need to upgrade an existing <strong>Restricted</strong> <strong>Substances</strong> database using <strong>Data</strong> Updatefiles, then this release is compatible with GRANTA MI Version 5 only.• If you are installing the data module as a standalone database, then this release iscompatible with GRANTA MI Versions 5 and 6.See the documentation associated with the GRANTA MI Version 5 or Version 6 release fordetailed system requirements, and instructions for installing the database.This data module requires 690Mb of disk space in SQL Server 2005 or later for installation.Special instructionsPlease note that customers applying <strong>Data</strong> Update files should install releases in sequence (i.e.release 2.2 must be installed prior to installing release <strong>3.1</strong>).
