Note:1. Students who have withdrawn or have been terminated cannot extend their student pass <strong>and</strong> visa.2. Students who defer, withdraw or are terminated will have their pass <strong>and</strong> visa cancelled.3. Student/dependant who overstay must write an appeal letter to the Director of Immigration, WilayahPersekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Kompleks Wilayah, Jalan Munshi Abdullah, 50100 Kuala Lumpur, fill-inthe “Overstay Form (Format A)” <strong>and</strong> will be required to attend an “Interview Session” at theImmigration Office accompanied by the Graduate School officer.4. A student, whose pass <strong>and</strong> visa have expired while overseas, is advised to apply for a visa from thenearest Malaysian Embassy before re-entering Malaysia. Upon arrival they will be required to make anew application for student pass <strong>and</strong> visa. Journey Performed Fee (JP) for an amount of RM500.00will be imposed on a student if they re-enter Malaysia without a visa.DEPENDANTSGuideline for Dependants:How to Enter Malaysia <strong>and</strong> How to Apply for Social <strong>Pass</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Visa</strong>1. Definition of dependant(s): Wife/Husb<strong>and</strong>, Children, Mother/Father.2. Dependants are advised to apply for a visa before entering Malaysia. Students are advised to get arecommendation letter from the SGS <strong>and</strong> present the copy of dependants' passports for that purpose.Dependants who enter Malaysia without visa will have to pay Journey Performed Fee of RM500.00each.3. Application for visas should be made at the nearest Malaysian Missions abroad. In countries whereMalaysian Missions have not been established, application should be made to the British HighCommission or Embassy. For visa application, the following documents are required:i. <strong>Pass</strong>port or Travel Documentii. Form IM.47 (3 copies)iii. Three (3) passport sized photographsiv. Return or onward - journey traveling ticketv. Proof of sufficient fundsvi. Graduate School’s recommendation letter4. Journey Performed Fee (JP) will be imposed on a student if he/she applies a social pass for a newchild born in Malaysia <strong>and</strong> registered in his/her passport.To apply for a social pass <strong>and</strong> visa, the following documents are required:i. Form GS-03 (<strong>Pass</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Visa</strong>Application Form).ii. Two (2) copies of Form IM-12 (Visit<strong>Pass</strong> Application Form).iii. Two (2) copies of student passport.iv. Two (2) copies of dependant(s)passport.v. Two (2) <strong>Pass</strong>port sized photographs.vi. Two (2) copies of latest semesterresult.vii. Two (2) copies of Birth Certificate – (ifapplying for social pass for a baby bornin Malaysia).viii. Copy of current registration form.ix. <strong>Pass</strong>port.
