Troubleshooting <strong>Proline</strong> <strong>Promass</strong> 83#Warning!"Caution!Wall-mount housing• Risk of electric shock. Exposed components carry dangerous voltages. Make sure that the powersupply is switched off before you remove the cover of the electronics compartment.• Risk of damaging electronic components (ESD protection). Static electricity can damage electroniccomponents or impair their operability. Use a workplace with a grounded working surfacepurposely built for electrostatically sensitive devices!• If you cannot guarantee that the dielectric strength of the device is maintained in the followingsteps, then an appropriate inspection must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’sspecifications.Use only original Endress+Hauser parts.å 48, installation and removal:1. Remove the screws and open the hinged cover (1) of the housing.2. Loosen the screws securing the electronics module (2). Then push up electronics module andpull it as far as possible out of the wall-mount housing.3. Disconnect the following cable plugs from amplifier board (7):– Sensor signal cable plug (7.1) including S-DAT (7.3)– Unplug excitation current cable (7.2). Gently disconnect the plug, i.e. without moving itback and forward.– Ribbon cable plug (3) of the display module.4. Remove the cover (4) from the electronics compartment by loosening the screws.5. Remove the boards (6, 7, 8, 9):Insert a thin pin into the hole (5) provided for the purpose and pull the board clear of its holder.6. Remove submodules (8.1):No tools are required for removing the submodules (inputs/outputs) from the I/O board.Installation is also a no-tools operation." Caution!Only certain combinations of submodules on the I/O board are permissible. ä 29The individual slots are marked and correspond to certain terminals in the connectioncompartment of the transmitter:Slot "INPUT / OUTPUT 2" = Terminals 24 / 25Slot "INPUT / OUTPUT 3" = Terminals 22 / 23Slot "INPUT / OUTPUT 4" = Terminals 20 / 217.
