Proline Promass 83Identification2 IdentificationThe following options are available for identification of the measuring device::• Nameplate specifications• Order code with breakdown of the device features on the delivery note• Enter serial numbers from nameplates in W@M Device Viewer(www.endress.com/deviceviewer): All information about the measuring device is displayed.For an overview of the scope of the Technical Documentation provided, refer to the following:• The chapters "Supplementary Documentation" ä 148•Der W@M Device Viewer: Enter the serial number from the nameplate(www.endress.com/deviceviewer)ReorderThe measuring device is reordered using the order code.Extended order code:• The device type (product root) and basic specifications (mandatory features) are always listed.• Of the optional specifications (optional features), only the safety and approval-relatedspecifications are listed (e.g. LA). If other optional specifications are also ordered, these areindicated collectively using the # placeholder symbol (e.g. #LA#).• If the ordered optional specifications do not include any safety and approval-related specifications,they are indicated by the + placeholder symbol (e.g. 8E2B50-ABCDE+).2.1 Device designationThe "Promass 83" flow measuring system consists of the following components:• Promass 83 transmitter.• Promass F, Promass E, Promass A, Promass H, Promass I, Promass S, Promass P, Promass O orPromass X sensor.Two versions are available:• Compact version: transmitter and sensor form a single mechanical unit.• Remote version: transmitter and sensor are installed separately.Issue/Rev. 0.2 (12/12) MN0M022 • Page 7
