Proline Promass 83Commissioning"Caution!#Warning!6.4 Configuration6.4.1 Two current outputs: active/passiveThe current outputs are configured as "active" or "passive" by means of various jumpers on the I/Oboard or the current submodule. The configuration of the current outputs as "active" or "passive" is only possible on non-Ex i I/Oboards. Ex i I/O boards are permanently wired as "active" or "passive", see Table ä 29Risk of electric shock. Exposed components carry dangerous voltages. Make sure that the powersupply is switched off before you remove the cover of the electronics compartment.1. Switch off power supply2. Remove the I/O board ä 963. Set the jumpers å 40" Caution!– Risk of destroying the measuring device. Set the jumpers exactly as shown in the diagram.Incorrectly set jumpers can cause overcurrents that would destroy either the measuringdevice or external devices connected to it.– Note that the position of the current submodule on the I/O board can vary, depending onthe version ordered, and that the terminal assignment in the connection compartment of thetransmitter varies accordingly ä 29.4. Installation of the I/O board is the reverse of the removal procedure.Fig. 40:Configuring current outputs with the aid of jumpers (I/O board)1 Current output 1 with HART1.1 Active current output (default)1.2 Passive current output2 Current output 2 (optional, plug-in module)2.1 Active current output (default)2.2 Passive current outputIssue/Rev. 0.2 (12/12) MN0M022 • Page 67
