Proline Promass 83Installation3.2.6 Thermal insulationSome fluids require suitable measures to avoid loss of heat at the sensor. A wide range of materialscan be used to provide the required thermal insulation.max. 60 (2.4)- +EscEmax. 60 (2.4)mm (inch)a0004614Fig. 14:In the case of the Promass F high-temperature version, a maximum insulation thickness of 60 mm (2.4") mustbe observed in the area of the electronics/neck.If the Promass F high-temperature version is installed horizontally (with transmitter head pointingupwards), an insulation thickness of min. 10 mm (0.4") is recommended to reduce convection. Themaximum insulation thickness of 60 mm (2.4") must be observed.3.2.7 Inlet and outlet runsThere are no installation requirements regarding inlet and outlet runs. If possible, install the sensorwell clear of fittings such as valves, T-pieces, elbows, etc.3.2.8 VibrationsThe high oscillation frequency of the measuring tubes ensures that the correct operation of themeasuring system is not influenced by pipe vibrations. Consequently, the sensors require no specialmeasures for attachment.3.2.9 Limiting flowRelevant information can be found in the "Technical Data" section under "Measuringrange" ä 103 or "Limiting flow" ä 131.Issue/Rev. 0.2 (12/12) MN0M022 • Page 21
