Installation Proline Promass 833.2 Installation conditionsNote the following points:• No special measures such as supports are necessary. External forces are absorbed by theconstruction of the instrument, for example the secondary containment.• The high oscillation frequency of the measuring tubes ensures that the correct operation of themeasuring system is not influenced by pipe vibrations.• No special precautions need to be taken for fittings which create turbulence (valves, elbows, T-pieces, etc.), as long as no cavitation occurs.• For mechanical reasons and in order to protect the pipe, it is advisable to support heavy sensors.3.2.1 DimensionsAll the dimensions and lengths of the sensor and transmitter are provided in the separatedocumentation "Technical Information"3.2.2 Mounting locationEntrained air or gas bubbles forming in the measuring tube can result in an increase in measuringerrors. Avoid the following locations in the pipe installation:• Highest point of a pipeline. Risk of air accumulating.• Directly upstream of a free pipe outlet in a vertical pipeline.Fig. 7:Mounting locationa0003605Page 14 • MN0M022Issue/Rev. 0.2 (12/12)
