An impact study into the use of <strong>IELTS</strong> by professional associations and registration entities:Canada, the United Kingdom and IrelandThe research consisted of:■■■■■■■■■■■■Desk research of alternative examinations and assessment systemsDesk research of target organisations that are registered with <strong>IELTS</strong>Development of a list of key contacts to be invited to contribute to the researchTelephone and electronic contact to establish a relationship, to introduce the aims andpurpose of the project and where possible, to set up interviewsConduct of semi-structured face-to-face, telephone and electronic interviewswith key contactsFollow-up by telephone and email.2.3 ScopeThe study focused on Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
