Most LACP devices have optional loadbalancing routines, based on layer 2 or layer 3 addresses and TCP/UDP port numbers that canbe configured. This suite can exercise these load balancing routines by mixingsource/destination address pairs, at all three layers, in the test traffic. Maximum throughput, latency, convergence time, and dropped packets are calculated per LAG group and per port. Upto 20 ports per LAG can be defined and mixtures of LAG to LAG or single port to LAG can bemapped. Stacked VLANs (QinQ) are supported symmetrically (QinQ on both sides of the test) orasymmetrically (QnQ) on one side, and a single VLAN or no VLANs on the other).Example Link Aggregation Control Protocol Test topology.26601 W. Traffic can be sentbi-directionally while a binary search routine is used to determine amaximum No Drop Rate. Optionally, QinQ tagging is supported. Results include maximum throughput, sequence checking, and latency.LAG to LAGThe LAG to LAG Throughput test maps a LAG of up to 20 ports toThroughput test another LAG. Bi-directional traffic can be transmitted with a binarysearch to determine a maximum No Drop Rate for both directions.Optionally, QinQ tagging is supported. Results include maximumthroughput, sequence checking, and latency.LAG to LAG withLink SubtractionThe LAG to LAG with Link Subtraction test is designed to map two LAGstogether and measure throughput as a baseline. The test iterates bydropping a link from the LAG, measuring, dropping a link, and26601 W. Agoura Rd.
