y Martha Folinome EXPERIENCES are meant to beheld close, and some, I think, are meant to bereleased and shared with others. The othernight, sitting on my porch, I had such anexperience, one of those sharing experiences. As I watchedfireflies dodging falling leaves, I contemplated my lovelyhome, my children snuggled in bed, and my faithful caninefriend with wagging tail, seated comfortably beside me.Here I was, surrounded by beauty, love and the gloriousabundance of my Creator. Yet, I felt so sad. Little tears beganto trickle softly down my cheek. What is this, I thought? Ihave nothing to be sad about. There is no crisis in my life,no pain, no lost loved one.So I decided to meditate on this ‘sadness’. Aftera moment of silence, the word ‘culminate’ came tome. It came so intensely that it was like a searing inmy brain, an imprinting on my soul. I could almosthear a voice whispering, “culminate…, culminate…,culmination is the key.” I stood up, went into the houseand pulled out a dictionary. I would like to share themeaning with you.Culminate (1) Of a celestial body, to crown, to reach itshighest altitude, to be directly overhead. (2a) To rise to orform a summit.
