Intrusion Alarm Systems | CC488 Solution Ultima 880 Control PanelCC488 Solution Ultima 880 Control Panelwww.boschsecurity.comuEight programmable user codes and eight radioremote user codesuuuuTwo areasDTMF telephone remote armingRemote programmingThree arming modesThe CC488 Solution Ultima 880 Control Panel provideseight programmable hard-wired or wireless burglaryzones. Remote programming provides addedconvenience and adaptability.FunctionsEight Programmable User Codes and Eight RadioRemote User CodesUsers can program up to eight user codes and eightradio user codes. Only the Master Code holder canadd or change other system user codes. Two AreasThe control panel is partitioned into two areas.Operate both areas from one master codepad or frommultiple separate area addressable codepads.Remote ProgrammingUsers can program the zones remotely with CC816Alarm Link (A-Link) software on a PC with MS-DOS ®and a modem. Users can run diagnostics, arm systems, and bypass zones with an off-site computer. Thisreduces service visits to a site and provides quickcustomer service, saving time and money. Remoteprogramming is useful for country locations where acontrol panel might be located hundreds of kilometers(miles) from an office.Three Arming ModesUsers can arm the system using one of three modes:AWAY Mode: Arms the entire system.STAY Mode 1: Arms most zones. Does not arm zonesprogrammed as isolated (installer).STAY Mode 2: Arms most zones. Does not arm zonesprogrammed as isolated (Master Code holder).Dual-tone Multi-frequency (DTMF) TelephoneRemote ArmingUsers can arm the system from any remote locationusing a DTMF telephone. Once a communication link isestablished between a DTMF telephone and thesystem, users can operate the system using thetelephone in the same way as a codepad.Day AlarmDay alarm monitors a group of zones when the systemis disarmed. For example, the front door of a shop hasa pressure mat or electronic beam that customers turnon as they enter or exit. The codepad beeps each timethe mat or beam turns on.Duress AlarmA codepad duress alarm can work as a silent hold-upalarm and is useful when the system reports to amonitoring station or pocket pager.

2 | CC488 Solution Ultima 880 Control PanelCodepad Tamper AlarmCodepad tamper limits the number of times thatsomeone can try to enter the wrong user code. Whensomeone exceeds the limit, the system starts an alarmand sends a report to a security monitoring station.Choice of End-Of-Line (EOL) Resistor ValueUsers can choose different EOL resistor values whenprogramming the control panel. The selected valueapplies to all zones at once. Users can add the controlpanel into an existing system without changing theEOL resistors.Built-in Telephone Line Fault MonitorWhen the system detects a telephone line failure, itcreates a telephone line fault. Users can program thesystem to sound an alarm if the telephone line is cutwhile the control panel is armed.Zone LockoutThe first zone to send an alarm condition is locked anda siren runs for a specified time. All other zones thatsend alarm conditions are reset when the sirens reset, but continue to report if another alarm conditionoccurs. This prevents an intruder from setting off thealarms in all zones, waiting for the sirens to stop, andthen entering the site.Automatic Battery TestingThe system performs a battery test each time a userarms the sys-tem, and automatically every four hours. When the system detects a low capacity back-upbattery, it creates a low battery fault.Event Memory RecallEvent Memory Recall plays the last 40 system events, including all alarms, system arming, and systemdisarming. If the control panel is partitioned, EventMemory Recall plays the last 10 system events.Programmable Ring Burst TimeTelephone ring times might be longer or shorterdepending on the technology in a system. Differenttiming can cause control panels to answer calls thatshould be answered by an answering machine, fax, ora person. Users can program the control panel for thecorrect ring burst time. Adjust the ring time from 0 msto 1200 ms in 5 ms increments.Call ForwardingThe telecommunications provider must offer a callforwarding option. Users can program call forwardingmodes to operate when the system is armed in theAWAY Mode.Call Forward Modes• Immediate On: Redirects all incoming calls to anothernumber, including mobile phones, pagers, andanswering services. The telephone called first doesnot ring.• No Answer: Redirects all incoming calls to anothernumber when the telephone that was called first isnot answered within 20 seconds. Outgoing calls canstill be made from the first telephone.Certifications and approvalsA-Tick Supplier CodeN663New Zealand Telepermit PTC 211/98/083RegionEuropeCertificationCECEInstallation/configuration notesCompatibility InformationRF ReceiversRF TransmittersRE005E RF Receiver with OutputsRE012E Two-channel Hand-held TransmitterRE013E Four-channel Hand-held TransmitterCodepads • CP105A Night Arm Station• CP500AW LED Area Addressable• CP500ALW LCD Area Addressable• CP500PW LED Partitionable• CP516LW LCD• CP516W LEDModulesTechnical specificationsEnclosureDimensions:Weight:MO144 Universal Timer Module30.6 cm x 26.2 cm x 8.4 cm(12 in x 10.3 in x 3.3 in)Packed in carton2.5 kg (5.5 lb)Environmental ConsiderationsRelative Humidity:Temperature (Operating):Power RequirementsCurrent Draw (Standby):Current Draw (Alarm):Current Draw (withCodepad):Primary:Secondary:Trademarks10% to 95% non-condensing0°C to +45°C (+32°F to +113°F)65 mA115 mA105 mA240 VAC, 18 VAC at 1.3 A from aTF008 Plug Pack12 VDC, 6 Ah from a rechargeablesealed lead/acid batteryMS-DOS ® is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in theUnited States and/or other countries.
