The Visa Waiver conditions are the same as in previous years. Anyone travelling to the US must haveregistered their details on ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation). This is a website - it basicallychecks that you are not a known criminal. You put in your details, and provided you're not a knownundesirable you are authorised to travel to the US Visa free. Really is as simple as that.Therefore, provided the students qualify for the Visa Waiver Programme (the conditions have not changed) theycan travel Visa Free, provided they have registered on the the ESTA website and received authorisation.What are the conditions for travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme:1. They are a citizen of the UK2. They are travelling on a valid, machine readable passport or e-passport with electronic chip3. Their reason for travel is pleasure4. They are staying less than 90 days5. They hold a return ticket for travel (if an e-ticket, must have copy of itinerary to show US Immigration)6. Entering aboard a participating airline (7. How to register on ESTA?1. The website address for ESTA is https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov2. Each student will need to update the website themselves or in groups with the PL.
