This can only be counteracted by the formulation, in otherwords the chemical composition, of the yarn. Polyethylene is a very soft material which feelspleasant on the skin. The new Polytan 100% PE formulation and the new Polytan texturisingtechnology now means that it is also possible to produce a texturising turf fibre which is neverthelesssoft against the skin.Polytan MonoTex – tailored to users’ needsThe Polytan MonoTex synthetic turf is the perfect performance turf. The mainfeatures for deciding on a specific type of synthetic turf in this sector are a longservice life and simple but effective maintenance. Nevertheless this does notmean that users have to accept a lack of excellent functionality for football or thefamiliar protective function for the players.Polytan MonoTex turf feelspleasant on the skin. It can also be supplied with rubberinfill material if specially required.No fibre-infill reactionsThe new Polytan 100% PE formulation is non-reactive with the various infill materials. Allthe infill materials used in the Polytan football turf system have been tested in very harshconditions by a series of intensive trials and have shown no signs of failure. This meansthat investors and users can rely on no damage occurring to the turf filaments in the rubber-filledturf, which could result in premature wear.The MonoTex 235 product is a system with sand and rubber infill material whichis also ideal for meeting the requirements for a wide range of uses. The turf comeswith approval under FIA criteria and a licence from the International HockeyFederation (FIH) as a hockey surface.
