Faaliyet Raporu 2009 - YASED Uluslararası Yatırımcılar Derneği

2009 yılında YASED’e farklı bir deneyim getiren bir diğerfaaliyet ise Koza Projesi oldu. İstanbul dışındaki üniversiteöğrencilerine üye şirketlerimizde staj olanağı sağlamakdüşüncesi ile İstihdam ve Eğitim Grubumuzun inisiyatifiile başlayan proje, ilk yılında Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesibölgesindeki 9 ildeki üniversiteleri kapsadı. İstihdam veeğitim konusunda katma değer yaratmayı hedefleyen birsosyal sorumluluk projesi olarak Koza Projesi ile ilgilidetayları da yine raporun ilgili bölümünde bulabilirsiniz.Projeye çok değerli katkılarda bulunan üye şirkettemsilcilerimize bu vesile ile teşekkür etmek veönümüzdeki dönemde de devam edecek projeye tüm üyeşirketlerimizi davet etmek isteriz.Eğitim sahası ile bir diğer bağımız olan Akademik İncelemeYarışması ile öğrencilerin konuya ilgisini çekmeyi veuluslararası doğrudan yatırımlarla bağlantılı konulardakiaraştırmaları teşvik etmeyi amaçlıyoruz. 2009 yılında10.sunu düzenlediğimiz yarışma “Türkiye'de UluslararasıDoğrudan Yatırımların Yerel Sanayi ve KOBİ'ler ÜzerindekiEtkileri” başlığı ile gerçekleştirildi ve jürimizindeğerlendirmesi sonucu dereceye giren öğrencilereödülleri verildi.Kurumsal dergimiz Insight YASED’i 2009 yılında da yıldadört kez olmak üzere sizlere ve diğer paydaşlarımızaulaştırmaya devam ettik. İçeriğimizi oluştururken, sizüyelerimize ve kamuya çalışma gruplarımız ve diğerfaaliyetlerimiz hakkında daha fazla bilgi ulaştırmayı,kamuoyuna doğrudan yatırımlar konusunda doğrumesajları vermeyi amaçladık. Kapak konularında çokuluslu şirketlerin global yöneticilerinin Türkiye hakkındakibakış açılarını yansıtmaya çalıştık. Üyelerimizin sosyalsorumluluk projelerine yer verdik ve gündemdeki konularve sektörel gelişmelere ilişkin olarak üyelerimizingörüşlerinden oluşan dosya konularını sunmaya çalıştık.We came together with the diplomatic representativesof the some of the source countries of FDI inflows toTurkey and of international organizations in Turkey atour International Advisory Council meetings, and gaveefforts to share our views with them on the investmentenvironment, to identify the shared methods of approachto different issues, and to improve our means ofcooperation.Another activity that opened new horizons for YASED in2009 has been the Koza Project. The project initiated byour Employment and Education Working Group with thepurpose to provide internship opportunities for studentsof universities outside Istanbul at member companies,was embraced by universities in 9 different provinces ofthe Southeastern Anatolia Region in its first year. Youcan find the details of this social responsibility project,oriented at generating added value for the communitywith regard to employment and education issues. I takethis opportunity to thank our member companies whichhave contributed to the Project, and would like to inviteall our member companies to the Project, which willresume again in the coming term.One other involvement of ours in the education area isthe Academic Research Competition, by which we aim toattract the attention of students to international directinvestments, and encourage research on related issues.The subject of the competition, organized for the 10thtime this year was, “The Impacts of International DirectInvestment on Domestic Industry and SMEs in Turkey”.The research papers sent to YASED were evaluated bythe jury, and the winning students received their awardsat a special ceremony.We continued to deliver our corporate magazine InsightYASED four times a year to our members and our otherstake holders. We aimed to provide more informationabout our working groups and other activities to you -our members - and the public and to give correct messageto the public on direct investments as we were planningthe content of the magazine. In our cover stories, wehave tried to reflect the views on Turkey of the globalexecutives of multinational companies. We gave place toour members’ social responsibility projects in our pages,and tried to present files comprising of our members’views on agenda items and sectoral developments.7
