The State of Water in Kosovo, 2010

Raportoooosanitary landfills;Construction of economic facilities and other facilities, that may produce waste thataffect the regime of interstate water stream and the drinking water supply,Construction of fishpond that use the water from Interstate water stream;Construction of roads and rails, which extend beyond the border of Kosovo, or thatcross the territory of two or more municipalities;Extraction of gravel which serve to regulate the water stream;While the municipality issues the water permits for:o Water abstraction from the sources that are used for public water supply up to 5000people;o Water supply through public water sources;o Opening of individual or public wells;o Irrigation of the land area up to 100 ha, ando Water abstraction from sources of local importance.Over the period 2005-2008, the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning has issued91 water permits, of which 78 are issued in 2007 only.
