RaportThe NPHIK report for the period January - December 2009 for drinking water quality,determines that:• In the first half of 2009 total 41,039 cases of infectious diseases are reported.• The number of diseases is lower compared with the same period of 2008 (69,460).• The water Diarrhoea with 14,493 cases (about 688.5 / 100.000 inhabitants), reportedin fairly large numbers. This number can be related to poor economic and hygieneconditions, water supply, lack of sewerage, waste disposal, etc.. that are evident inKosovo.• The aggregated group of diseases such as acute diarrhoea is reported with 35% of thetotal.• Still large number of cases of Hepatitis A reported.
