A silty surficial deposit is often presen tover the compact till . Textures are generally silt loam and coarse fragment contentsare variable, increasing at depth . These soils are commonly found at the bottoms oflong slopes where they are subject to seepage and hence the imperfectly draine dconditions . Mottles are generally present in the B horizon . Due to the moist conditions,a thick L-F-H horizon and an Ah horizon are usually present .
