The coarse fragment contentis generally less than 20% in the solum, but may range up to approximately 35% i nthe parent material . Generally, the OG 1 map units found in the Yoho valley ar ecoarser textured and have higher amounts of coarse fragments in the parent material sthan those found in the Ottertail, Otterhead and Beaverfoot valleys . Orthic Humo-Ferric Podzols are the most common soils on this map unit but Degraded Eutri cBrunisols also occur, especially at the lower elevations . Those OG 1 map unit swith slopes steeper than 50% may be susceptible to soil creep and significant soi lerosion resulting in map inclusions of Regosolic soils .
