<strong>Mirage</strong> <strong>over</strong> <strong>door</strong> <strong>heater</strong>ApplicationThe Diffusion <strong>Mirage</strong> <strong>over</strong> <strong>door</strong> <strong>heater</strong> isan ideal choice for banks, buildingsocieties, supermarkets, large retailoutlets, and hospitals. With its compactdimensions, the unit can be mounted intoareas with limited <strong>door</strong> to ceiling height.The energy saving controls option allowsits use where energy/running costs are acritical consideration.DescriptionThe Diffusion <strong>Mirage</strong> recessed <strong>over</strong> <strong>door</strong><strong>heater</strong> has been designed, with itscompact shape, to harmoniously integrateinto the aesthetics of modern entrances.The unit is available in lengths of 1.0m,1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m and 2.0m, in eitherLPHW or electric versions. The <strong>Mirage</strong><strong>over</strong> <strong>door</strong> <strong>heater</strong> is supplied with remotecontrols mounted onto a purpose designedswitch plate, which is suitable for fittingto a standard two gang, recessed orsurface mounted, electrical back box.ChassisThe chassis shall be manufactured from aminimum of 1.2mm thick galvanised mildsteel. All galvanised mild steel items shallbe self finished. The chassis shall besuitably stiffened to prevent flexing anddistortion.Casing (optional)The casing shall be manufactured from aminimum of 1.2mm thick Zintec. Thecasing shall be suitably stiffened toprevent flexing and distortion. The unitshall have a suitable, full length,removable access panel for maintenancepurposes. The casing shall be powdercoated white RAL 9010 as standard,other colours can be provided on request.Fan assemblyThe unit shall be fitted with a high outputpermanent split phase capacitor,continuously rated and complete with abuilt in thermal <strong>over</strong>load protection,complying with BS 2048 1961 part 1 andBS 5000. The fans shall be of the doubleinlet, double width centrifugal typedynamically balanced in two planesaccording to DIN standards ISO 1940.The motors shall be insulated to BS 2757(class B). For ease of maintenance, thefan and motor sub-assembly shall be fittedwith a quick release hinged mechanism,allowing easy removal.Electric ElementsEach element shall be manufactured from8mm fully sheathed stainless steel rods,with 4mm pitched spiral fins. A manualre-set high temperature cut-out shall befitted in accordance with standard safetyrequirements. The elements comply withBS7351 – 1990.Heat Exchanger (LPHW Version)The coil shall be manufactured fromsolid drawn copper tubes, mechanicallyexpanded into accurately pre-formedcollars in rippled plate type aluminiumfins. Each coil shall be arranged formulti-circuit operation complete withheaders and suitable for a LPHW 2pipe system. Each coil assembly shallbe fitted with an air vents and drainconnections. The coil shall be pressuretested to 40 bar and be suitable foroperation with a static head of up to30 metres. Coil tails are 28mm plaincopper.Discharge & Inlet GrilleThe grille shall be a vision proof (40 o )linear type manufactured fromextruded aluminium and shall befinished in RAL 9010 20% gloss asstandard. The grille houses both theinlet and discharge air for the unit andis retained by quick release captivescrews. The grille also provides easyaccess to the internal components ofthe unit for maintenance purposes.Filter (LPHW version only)The filter shall be constructed from afine mesh, housed within a lightweightframe, which can be easily removed forcleaning and maintenance.ControlsElectric version: Supplied with aremote control plate housing on/off,speed high/low, heat off, low and high,finished in satin chrome as standard,other finishes are available as options.The unit can be used in ambient mode,by using the fans only setting. All theswitches for the above functions arefitted to a purpose-designed remotecontrol plate, suitable for fitting onto astandard two gang, recessed or surfacemount, electrical back box.Standard LPHW version: Suppliedwith a remote control plate housing 4speeds/off, finished in satin chrome asstandard, other finishes are availableas options. All the switches for theabove functions are fitted to a purposedesigned remote control plate, suitablefor fitting onto a standard two gang,recessed or surface mount, electricalback box.As an optional extra our energy savingcontrol system offers state of the artdesign and with the use of PID controland air off sensing technology, the heatoutput can be infinitely variedautomatically by either increasing orreducing the average electrical powerto the heating elements on the electricversion or increasing or reducing thewater flow rate via a 3-port valve onwater version to maintain the preset airoff temperature, whilst maintainingconstant air velocity. The standardpackage is equipped with an off coiltemperature sensor offering manualsummer/winter settings for all yearround control. Should closer control berequired, adding the optional return airand outside air temperature sensorsprovides all year round fully automaticcontrol, without the need for manualsummer/winter switching. PIR sensorscan be added to give automatic on/offcontrol of the unit. The controller alsooffers fan run on facility, BMS inputcontrol and fault indication, time clockinput, fan only operation and input foroccupancy sensor/<strong>door</strong> switch control,and a LCD remote control platehousing 4 speeds & off, finished inbrushed stainless steel.Function TestsEach unit shall be function tested atour factory to ensure correct operation.All electrical components shall betested to ensure each unit and itsassociated wiring complies with the16 th edition of IEE. The unit shall bemanufactured in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.Optional ExtrasLow water temperature cut out:Provides automatic shutdown of thefan/motor when boilers have beenswitched off (standard controls only).Summer/Winter switch (manual):Used in conjunction with the roomthermostat and/or low watertemperature cut out, this will allow thefan only to run for air movement(standard controls only).Remote thermostat: Available inadjustable or tamperproof (standard &Energy saving controls).BMS interface relay: 24vac relay andbase (standard controls only).Energy saving control packages(refer to controls section for details).PIR Sensor to give automatic on/offcontrol of the unit (Energy savingcontrols only).Return air sensor: Mounted integralto the unit (Energy saving controlsonly).Outside temperature sensor: Sensorto detect outside conditions (Energysaving controls only).
