If <strong>the</strong> key is not returnedwithin <strong>the</strong> 30-minute period, you will be charged for a lock change. Please notethat residents who abuse <strong>the</strong> lockout key policy are subject <strong>to</strong> disciplinaryaction. <strong>The</strong>re will be a Lock-out charge for anyone who has <strong>to</strong> check out keysmore than four times a semester For residents staying over <strong>the</strong> summer, <strong>the</strong>rewill be a lock-out charge for anyone who has <strong>to</strong> check out keys more than twotimes during <strong>the</strong> Summer C Session.• LOST KEY CHARGES Room Key - $72.00, Commons Key -$25.00, Lockouts - $8.00 (after 4 th lockout during semester; after2 nd lockout during summer). In addition <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> key charge, <strong>the</strong>re willbe a $2.00 administration fee.Room Condition Forms — This form is an inven<strong>to</strong>ry and record <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>condition <strong>of</strong> your room at <strong>the</strong> time you moved in. It is very important that youreview and complete this form in detail and return it <strong>to</strong> your RA. This informationis used <strong>to</strong> assess damage charges when you check out and it is in your bestinterest <strong>to</strong> be sure that <strong>the</strong> form really reflects <strong>the</strong> current condition <strong>of</strong> yourroom. If different, you have 24 hours <strong>to</strong> let your RA know.Room Switches/Transfers — Under NO circumstances may students changerooms without prior approval from <strong>the</strong> Area Office. In most cases a room switchis possible but failing <strong>to</strong> follow proper procedure will result in disciplinary action.Bulletin Boards — As you walk through <strong>the</strong> Area each day, take a look at <strong>the</strong>large bulletin boards placed throughout <strong>the</strong> buildings. Some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se boards arelabeled “Administrative Notice Only” and are only for use by Housing Staff.O<strong>the</strong>r boards are “Public Notice” boards and may be used by anyone. However,Housing is responsible for <strong>the</strong> upkeep <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> “Public Notice” boards and mayremove all items on <strong>the</strong>m periodically if <strong>the</strong>y become unsightly or if <strong>the</strong> materialis out-<strong>of</strong>-date. ADDITIONALLY, PUBLIC NOTICES NOT ATTACHED TO THEBULLETIN BOARDS WILL BE REMOVED. Repeat <strong>of</strong>fenders are subject <strong>to</strong>disciplinary action.<strong>Keys</strong> <strong>Complex</strong> Library — <strong>The</strong> <strong>Keys</strong> <strong>Complex</strong> Library is located in <strong>the</strong>commons. It is a quiet and convenient place for area residents <strong>to</strong> study. Atcertain times (<strong>to</strong> be posted), <strong>the</strong>re is a student librarian on duty who can assistyou with books in <strong>the</strong> glass cases. However, <strong>the</strong> library itself is open 24 hours aday. You will need your entrance key <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> commons where <strong>the</strong> library islocated.
