In this chapter, referencesto “CHIP” or the “CHIP Managed Care Program(s)” apply to the CHIP Programand the CHIP Dental Contractors. References to “Medicaid” or the “MedicaidManaged Care Program(s)” apply to the STAR, STAR+PLUS, and STAR HealthPrograms, and the Medicaid Dental Contractors. The term “MCO” includeshealth maintenance organizations (HM0s), exclusive provider organizations(EPOs), insurers, Dental Contractors, and any other entities licensed or approvedby the Texas Department of Insurance.TXMedCentralTXMedCentral is the secure system for sharing confidential information amongbusiness partners. TXMedCentral is administered by the Texas Medicaid andHealthcare Partnership (TMHP).
