About <strong>VIT</strong><strong>VIT</strong> <strong>University</strong> was started in 1984 as an EngineeringCollege by Mr. G. Viswanathan, a <strong>for</strong>mer Minister andParliamentarian. He is the founder Chancellor of the<strong>University</strong> which is located 6 Km away from the maintown of Vellore. This year the <strong>University</strong> is celebratingits Silver Jubilee. <strong>VIT</strong> <strong>University</strong> has been accreditedby IET, UK and has recently been re-accredited byNAAC with ‘A’ grade.
