It includes the costs <strong>for</strong> generaladministration <strong>and</strong> coordination of the program, including contractcosts <strong>for</strong> these functions <strong>and</strong> indirect (or overhead) costs. The specificdefinition can be found in 45 CFR Part 286.5, What definitions applyto this part?, <strong>and</strong> 45 CFR Part 286.55.What typps of costs me dject to the administrative cost limitun TrihZ Family Assistance Grant funds?It is recommended that when the need <strong>for</strong> corrective action isidentified, it should be developed <strong>and</strong> implemented within fiveworking days to ensure year-end compliance with administrative costlimitations.The administrative costs that can be charged to the Tribal TANF arelimited to 35 percent in the first year, 30 percent in the second year,<strong>and</strong> 25 percent in all subsequent years. A Tribe that receives a$100,000 TANF grant can charge to the grant a maximum of $35,000in the first year, $30,000 in the second year, <strong>and</strong> $25,000 in the thirdyear <strong>for</strong> administrative costs. The administrative costs will include theindirect (or overhead) costs allowable as per the Tribe's indirect costnegotiation agreement <strong>and</strong> all other costs <strong>for</strong> general administration<strong>and</strong> coordination of the program.
