ANNEXURE-IAFFIDAVIT BY PARENT/GUARDIAN OF HOSTEL STUDENTI, _______________________________________________ (full name of parent/guardian)father/mother/guardian of Mr. /Mrs. /Ms. ___________________________________________ ,(full name of student with admission/registration/enrolment number), having been admitted to__________________________________(name of the institution) , for the academic session 2013-14and my ward is seeking admission in the Hostel,1) I have received a copy of the AICTE Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging inHigher Educational Institutions, 2009, (hereinafter called the “Regulations”) carefully read andfully understood the provisions contained in the said Regulations.2) I have, in particular, perused clause 3 of the Regulations and I am aware as to what constitutesragging.3) I have also, in particular, perused clause 7 and clause 9.1 of the Regulations and I am fullyaware of the penal and administrative action that is liable to be taken against my ward in casehe/she is found guilty or abetting ragging, actively or passively, or being part of a conspiracy topromote ragging in the Hostel.4) I hereby solemnly aver and undertake thatMy ward will not indulge in any behavior or act in the Hostel that may be constituted as raggingunder clause 3 of the Regulations.a) My ward will not participate in or abet or propagate through any act of commission oromission in the Hostel that may be constituted as ragging under clause 3 of theRegulations.b) I have received a copy of hostel rules & regulations and have read and understoodeverything clearly. I am signing the rules and regulations documents without any force orcoercion from any side.c) I also agree to pay the hostel mess advance charges which are to be adjusted for futuremess bills on receipt from the mess manager/mess secretary and also the rentals andestablishment charges etc. shall be paid at the time of admission to the hostel.d) I will abide by the rules and regulations of this institute and hostels in totality as andwhen mended time to time by the college authorities.
