TrunkCAUTION:It can be dangerous to drive with the trunk lidopen because carbon monoxide (CO) gas cancome into your vehicle. You can’t see or smellCO. It can cause unconsciousness and even death.If you must drive with the trunk lid open or ifelectrical wiring or other cable connections mustpass through the seal between the body and thetrunk lid: Make sure all other windows are shut. Turn the fan on your heating or coolingsystem to its highest speed with the settingon AUTO and the temperature between65 F (18 C) and 85 F (29 C). That willforce outside air into your vehicle.See “Comfort Controls” in the Index. If you have air outlets on or under theinstrument panel, open them all the way.See “Engine Exhaust” in the Index.Trunk ReleaseTo use this feature, yourtransmission must be inPARK (P). Press the trunkrelease button located on thecenter console next to theradio to open the trunk.You can also press the trunk button on the remotekeyless entry transmitter to access the trunkcompartment. If your vehicle loses powertemporarily, you canmanually open the trunkusing the trunk releasehandle. The handle islocated on the undersideof the trunk lid on thedriver’s side and can beaccessed through thefold-down rear seats.Fold down the driver’s side rear seat and reach through tothe trunk compartment to find the release handle. Pullingthe handle opens the trunk.
