To reinstall the air cleaner assembly, place the air filter inthe air cleaner lid, then insert the lid and filter togetherinto the housing. Reattach the five clips, reinstall the airintake tube and tighten the clamp. Return the coolantsurge tank hose to its proper position.Refer to the Maintenance Schedule to determine when toreplace the air filter.See “Scheduled Maintenance Services” in theMaintenance Schedule booklet.CAUTION:Operating the engine with the air cleaner/filteroff can cause you or others to be burned. Theair cleaner not only cleans the air, it stops flameif the engine backfires. If it isn’t there, and theengine backfires, you could be burned. Don’tdrive with it off, and be careful working on theengine with the air cleaner/filter off.NOTICE:If the air cleaner/filter is off, a backfire cancause a damaging engine fire. And, dirt caneasily get into your engine, which will damage it.Always have the air cleaner/filter in place whenyou’re driving.Passenger Compartment AirFilter ReplacementThe passenger compartment air filter traps mostof the pollen from the air entering your vehicle.Like your vehicle’s air cleaner filter, it may need tobe changed periodically.
