Windshield Washer FluidG. Brake Master CylinderH. Power Steering FluidI. BatteryBefore closing the hood, be sure all filler caps are on properly. Then pull the hood down and close it firmly.

Engine OilIf the low oil level appearson the instrument panel,it means you need tocheck your engine oillevel right away. For moreinformation, see “CHECKOIL light” in the Index.The engine oil dipstick islocated behind the radiatorhose on the driver’s sideof the engine. The yellowlooped handle helps toidentify it.You should check your engine oil level regularly; this isan added reminder.Checking Engine OilIt’s a good idea to check your engine oil every time youget fuel. In order to get an accurate reading, the oil mustbe warm and the vehicle must be on level ground.Turn off the engine and give the oil several minutes todrain back into the oil pan. If you don’t, the oil dipstickmight not show the actual level.Pull out the dipstick and clean it with a paper towel orcloth, then push it back in all the way. Remove it again,keeping the tip down, and check the level.6-11
