<strong>August</strong> <strong>2011</strong><strong>Dear</strong> <strong>Valued</strong> <strong>Benefits</strong> <strong>Administra<strong>to</strong>r</strong>,I <strong>am</strong> <strong>writing</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>tell</strong> you about two fee changes The Bancorp Bank, an independent company, is makingthat will affect members who have Bancorp health savings accounts (HSAs). Beginning Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 1, <strong>2011</strong>,Bancorp will introduce a monthly fee for account holders who receive mailed paper statements.Additionally, beginning March 1, 2012, there will be a monthly fee applied for all active HSA accountholders who do not maintain a minimum balance. Bancorp will communicate the new paper statement andmonthly account fees with a letter <strong>to</strong> all active HSA account holders in mid <strong>August</strong>.MAILED PAPER STATEMENT FEETo encourage more account holders <strong>to</strong> take advantage of online statements, Bancorp will implement <strong>am</strong>onthly statement fee of $1.25 for mailed paper statements beginning Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 1, <strong>2011</strong>. Account holderswho continue <strong>to</strong> receive paper statements will begin seeing this charge on their Oc<strong>to</strong>ber statements.Account holders can avoid the paper statement fee by electing <strong>to</strong> receive their statements online. Onlinestatements are a free, secure, and convenient way for account holders <strong>to</strong> access their account activity.To switch <strong>to</strong> online statements, account holders should log in <strong>to</strong> their account at www.mybancorphsa.comand click on My Account Statements. Account holders must sign up for online statements bySeptember 15, <strong>2011</strong>, <strong>to</strong> avoid the $1.25 fee on the Oc<strong>to</strong>ber statement. The last “free” paper statement willbe issued in September.MONTHLY ACCOUNT FEEAs is standard in the banking industry, Bancorp will introduce a monthly fee of $2.50 for all healthsavings account holders beginning March 1, 2012. Account holders do have two options for waiving thefee:• Maintain a balance of $2,500 during a statement cycle; or• Maintain a balance of $1,500 and have one electronic deposit credited <strong>to</strong> the account during thatstatement cycle.BANCORP HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTSWe would like <strong>to</strong> remind you that there are many advantages for members who have an account withBancorp.
