The win camein Kim’s 78th <strong>TOUR</strong> start.The Shell Houston Open has had 21 playoffs—more than any event on <strong>TOUR</strong> other than the U.S.Open (32). Last year’s playoff was the first of theseason (15 events). The 14-event start without aplayoff represented the longest the <strong>TOUR</strong> has goneto start a season without a playoff since 1974when Lee Elder won in a playoff in the 16th eventof the year.The third-round leader/co-leader has won the ShellHouston Open 33 times, including eight of the lastnine years.
