Electrical 2-7Section 2: ElectricalHeadlight flasher (wig-wag) module connectorThere is a cap attached to the connector that prevents contaminants from entering when awig-wag module is not installed. The cap contains no pins or wiring. When installing a headlightflasher (wig-wag) module, the cap should be removed and taped to the harness. 2-8 ElectricalSection 2: ElectricalPolice Prep Option — This option provides all the necessary components that will alternate theheadlight high beams. The control switch is not a power source. It is a switching device thatcontrols relays. The switch also provides feedback to the driver door module (DDM) via a hardwire input and the LCM via a network message to deactivate the high beam lights when thewig-wag module is turned on. Splicing into the brake light circuit at any other location will cause criticalsystems on the vehicle to malfunction. Circuit protection devices have been added to the vehicle toaccommodate taillight flashers.
