<strong>Volunteer</strong> Recognition Events<br />

<strong>Oakwood</strong> <strong>Hospital</strong> & Medical Center celebrated volunteers with a recognition event on Tuesday,<br />

August 16, 2011. The theme chosen for this<br />

year’s event, “<strong>Volunteer</strong>s, touching lives,<br />

lifting spirits” was printed on the cover of<br />

notebooks that were distributed as gifts.<br />

Excellence, Greg Bock, Chief Operating<br />

Officer, <strong>Oakwood</strong> <strong>Hospital</strong> & Medical Center<br />

and Beverly Beltramo, Director, Spiritual<br />

Support Services were among the guests<br />

<strong>Oakwood</strong> Heritage <strong>Hospital</strong><br />

<strong>Oakwood</strong> Heritage <strong>Hospital</strong>’s <strong>Volunteer</strong> Services<br />

recognition luncheon was held in the cafeteria and patio<br />

area on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 2 – 4 p.m.<br />

What a wonderful time to celebrate so many volunteers<br />

who touch so many lives and lift spirits of patients,<br />

family, staff, and etc. The weather was picture perfect;<br />

sunny but breezy and live entertainment from the<br />

Groove Unit Jazz band. As a token of our appreciation,<br />

the volunteers received journals, a delicious buffet, and<br />

<strong>Oakwood</strong> <strong>Hospital</strong> & Medical Center<br />

who addressed and thanked the OHMC<br />

volunteer core.<br />

Nine <strong>Oakwood</strong> <strong>Hospital</strong> & Medical Center<br />

Student volunteers were awarded the<br />

volunteer services high school student<br />

scholarship of $1,000. (winners are located on<br />

page 15).<br />

A good time was had by all!!<br />
