Oakwood’s patients, families and
communities benefit greatly from your
donations of time and talent – and by
volunteering, your own health benefits, too.
Research conducted by the Corporation for
National and Community Service
demonstrated that volunteers have “greater
longevity, higher functional ability, lower rates
of depression and less incidence of heart
disease.” The sense of purpose, connection
and accomplishment you get from
volunteering go a long way to boosting your
health and wellness.
That’s just one more reason to feel good
about your contributions to Oakwood. Thank

Need 1 Volunteer to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for
approximately 2 to 3 hours. Daytime (flexible).
Read and speak English; Ability to understand advance directive and be
