4.10 Safety Incentive Award Program – Del Mar FairgroundsA. The CDFA, 22 nd District Agricultural Association (Del Mar Fairgrounds) has establishedthis Safety Incentive Program to encourage employees to work safely as individuals and increws and to reward employees for working safely.Employees in the following classes are included in this Safety Incentive Program:Carpenter Electrician ElectronicsTechnicianFairground AidGroundskeeperSenior MaintenanceWorkerHeavy EquipmentMechanicFairgroundAttendantMaintenanceWorkerTractor Operator-LaborerMaintenanceMechanicFusion WelderPainterAt the discretion <strong>of</strong> the 22 nd DAA, additional classes may be designated where it is deemedappropriate.B. Permanent, full-time, reduced hours full-time and intermittent employees in the listedclasses will receive the individual award provided they meet the following criteria for thetime being recognized:1. They have not suffered any recordable work-related injury or illness as defined byOSHA; and2. They have no been charged <strong>with</strong> a preventable vehicular accident whileoperating <strong>State</strong> equipment or a private vehicle on <strong>State</strong> business, and3. They have not been convicted <strong>of</strong> a moving violation from any police agency whileoperating <strong>State</strong> equipment or a private vehicle on <strong>State</strong> business; and4. They have not received corrective counseling, letter <strong>of</strong> reprimand or and adverseaction for committing an unsafe act or failing to follow established safety procedures;and5. Their behavior was not the cause for the 22 nd DAA to receive a citation forviolating a Cal-OSHA rule or law; and6. They have been continuously employed in an eligible class and received servicecredit for the three consecutive months <strong>of</strong> the quarterly individual award and twelveconsecutive months immediately preceding July 1 <strong>of</strong> each year for the group award.C. A “group” is defined as a work unit wherein the employees interact on a regular basisand in a manger which may be reasonably expected to affect safety.
