He recalled that many of hisconstituents dissuaded him from doing this for it would bevery dangerous, but no one could stop him. In his meetingwith Jabbar, he requested the latter to stop the bloodshedand the killings of their fellow Higaunons. Jabbar accededand requested Tatay Malindahay to prepare the necessarymaterials for the tampuda, a ceremony wherein parties agreeto end the conflict for good. During the tampuda, since Jabbarhad nothing to offer as manggad, he gave his Armalite rifle tothe offended party. The rift was resolved thereupon.80
