1. TITLE AND NATURE OF THE EVENT.The event will be known as “Markwell Demolitions <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Challenge” conducted at Talbot Parkapproximately 25km west of Townsville on Harvey’s Range <strong>Road</strong> on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12 th ofAugust 2007. The event will be round four of the North Queensland <strong>Off</strong>road Series. The event willconsist of ten heats of a 5klm ( approx ) course. The total event duration is at the director’s discretion.2. AUTHORITYThe event will be conducted under the International Sporting Code of the F.I.A. and the NCR’s ofConfederation of <strong>Australia</strong>n Motor Sports Ltd ( CAMS ), <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Standing <strong>Regulations</strong> and any otherfurther regulations issued under CAMS Organizing Permit No. TBA . Where these regulations differfrom the standing regulations, these <strong>Supplementary</strong> <strong>Regulations</strong> take precedence.3. EVENT ORGANISERSThe event organizers are the NTH QLD OFFROAD RACING ASSOCIATION INC.4. ENTRIESEntries open on the issue of these supplementary regulations and close on Saturday the 11 th of August2007 with no entries accepted on the race weekend accept by prior arrangement with the organisingcommittee.Entry Fee $100.00N.Q. Series Levy $5.00Total $105.00Cheques and money orders should be made payable to the North Queensland <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Association Inc.Entry forms must be completed in full and accompanied by the entry fee and forwarded to the NorthQueensland <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Association. P.O. Box 229 Aitkenvale Q 4814 or handed in the morning of theevent, prior to the start. Entry forms should be completed and accompanied by the required entry feewithin the period specified. No responsibility will be taken for entries not forwarded or handed to theabove address or one of the organizing committee. The organizers reserve the right to refuse any entrywithout assigning any reason – see NCR83. There will be $20.00 dishonored cheque fee. The driver


and/or navigator may be changed provided the secretary receives advise of such change no later than onehour prior to the start of the event and only with the approval of the Stewards.6. SCRUTINEERINGScrutineering will be carried out on the evening before and the morning(6-8AM) of the event. Actualscrutineering may proceed past the close-off time however competitors must register their presence withthe scrutineer prior to the stated close-off time. All competing vehicles must be scrutineered prior toparticipating in the event. It is a requirement that all vehicles have a log book. A CAMS competitionlicense, log book and a current club membership must be produced at scrutineering and on requestduring the meeting.7. RECONNAISSANCEReconnaissance of the track will be on Saturday the 11th August 2007 between 8A.M. and 9A.M.8. BRIEFINGA briefing will be held at 9A.M. on Saturday the 11th August 2007 near the timing hut, a furtherbriefing may be held after prologue if required. Attendance by crew members is compulsory. All crewmembers must be nominated on the entry form and sign the sign on sheet at the briefing.9. STARTING ORDERSStarting orders will be determined by a prologue heat, which will be counted in the final times for theweekend. Starting order will be determined irrespective of class in order of time taken to complete 1 lap.No protests shall lie against the organizers in respect of the starting order. The nominated driver mustdrive during the prologue heat. Prologue start order will be at the competitor’s discretion with 2 minutesbetween vehicles. It is envisaged that heat 1 ( prologue ) will start at approximately 10A.M. on Saturday11th August 2007.10. EVENT DETAILSThe event may consist of 10 heats each consisting of 1 lap ( approximately 5km ) . Vehicles will bestarted 2 minutes apart but will be up to the discretion of the starter. Vehicles will be given a total of 30minutes to complete each lap, if they cannot complete it in this time the clock will be turned off,resulting in DNF. Failure to be at the start line in order for your required start time may result in a DNS.Speeding in the pits will result in a warning – second offense will result in a 15 second penalty.11. GENERAL1. Only competitors and crew members will be allowed in the Pits.2. No children are allowed in the Pits.3. There will be no camping in the pit area.4. Timing will be by elapsed time to seconds only.5. Mufflers and Spark arrestors must be fitted as per GR36.6. Fuel must be commercial fuel as defined by CAMS ( Schedule G ).


12. LOCATION DETAILSThe track is located approximately 25klms west of Townsville on Harvey’s Range <strong>Road</strong> near BlackRiver alternate route to Bruce Highway.13. CATERINGNo catering will be supplied at this race – B.Y.O.14. ABANDONMENTEvent organisers reserve the right to abandon, cancel, postpone, terminate or alter the event inaccordance with NCR59 and may cancel the event if fewer than 10 entries are received.15. SAFETY OF VEHICLESThe attention of all entrants and competitors is drawn to Section 12 of the CAMS Manual in which allvehicle requirements are listed in detail.16. ALCOHOL/DRUGSThe consumption of alcohol or drugs by drivers, crews is forbidden during the course of the event.Consumption of alcohol or drugs by anyone in the pit and other non public areas is forbidden until thecompletion of the event.17. PROTESTSProtests must be lodged in writing and handed directly to the Stewards of the meeting, or if this is notpossible to the Director in accordance with the CAMS National Competition Rules and accompanied bythe appropiate fee. ( Refer to CAMS Manual Part XII )18. JUDGES OF FACTThe chief scrutineer shall be deemed to be a judge of fact in respect to:a) The safety of vehicles and equipment.b) That all competitors documents are current and correct.The Starter ( and his/her assistant where applicable ) shall be deemed to be a judge of fact in respect to:a) Starting grid procedures.b) False starts.The Finish Control <strong>Off</strong>icials ( including time keepers ) shall be deemed judges of fact in respect to:a) Finish line procedures.b) Order of finishers.c) Times.


19. INSURANCEThe event organisers will arrange Public Risk Insurance with CAMS. Personal accident insurance for alldrivers and navigators ( nominated on the entry form and duly signed ) will be arranged with CAMS.20. VEHICLE/CREW ELIGIBILTYThe entrant and each competing member must hold an appropiate CAMS license and be a financialmember of a CAMS affiliated club. Log book details must be presented at scrutineering and on race dayat Event Control.21. PARENTAL CONSENTIf any entrant is under the age of ( 18 ) years it should be stated on the entry form together with thesigned consent of his/her parent or guardian.
