There areadditional safety statements in the parameter chapters that are specific to thatmonitored parameter.The order in which safety statements are presented in no way implies order ofimportance.There are no dangers that refer to the equipment in general. Specific“Danger” statements may be given in the respective sections of this manual.2.2 Safety RequirementsWARNING• The Cardell® MAX-12 HD is not intended to be used as an apneamonitor.• Do not use it during MRI scans.• Please do not rely on the alarm functions of the patient monitor. Thealarm limits may have been improperly set or the alarm may have beendisabled.• Alarm functions of the patient monitor must be checked regularly.• Before using the cables, please check the cable and connectors. If anydamage is found, replace it immediately.• Electro-surgery circuit must be connected properly to prevent burns oreven death.• When several devices are used on the same patient, leakage current mayincrease and lead to danger to the patient.
