Cardell® MAX-12HD User’s Manual7) Be sure that the sensor cable is positioned along the side of the animal’s faceand body to avoid entanglement with the animal.WARNING: Do not use supplemental tape to adhere the clip and sensordirectly to the site; this can restrict blood flow and cause inaccuratemeasurements. For best results, secure the sensor cable independently from thesensor.8) Connect the sensor assembly to the Interface Cable:a) Place the plastic hinged cover in the unlocked position (perpendicular tothe connector).b) Connect the sensor assembly to the Interface Cable.c) Lock the plastic hinged cover to prevent accidental cabledisconnection.9) Plug the Interface Cable into the SpO2 connector on the side panel of themonitor. Push the cable in until you hear an audible “click”.WARNING: Theindicates that the SpO2 sensor connector isinsulated and defibrillation proof which can ensure patient and monitor safetyduring defibrillation and electrosurgery.10) Press the ON/STANDBY pushbutton to turn “ON” the monitor.11) Verify that the sensor is properly positioned by observing at least ten68 M1.0 5-15-09
