Thefollowing instructions shall be treated as general guidance when there is nospecific method. When the cable is found worn out or damaged, pleasereplace the cable at once.7.10.1 ECG cable cleaningIn order to keep the cable dust-free, please clean it with clean clothwith soapy water or a mild detergent.7.10.2 ECG cable disinfectionIn order to avoid long-term damage to the cable, we recommend that youonly disinfect the cable when it’s necessary according to your hospitalregulations.CAUTION: Do not autoclave the cable.7.11 Troubleshooting7.11.1 Inaccurate Heart Rate(1) check patient’s ECG signala. check /adjust lead placementb. check/clean the patient’s skinc. check/replace ECG electrodes(2) check if ECG waveform amplitude is normal.7.11.2 No ECG waveformAfter leadwires are connected but there is no ECG waveform and the screenshows “lead off” or “no signal received”.(1) Check if the electrodes are in good contact with the patient and if theleadwires are open.(2) Check all the external connections of the ECG leadwires.(3) Check the ECG electrodes. Prolonged placement of electrodes may resultin polarized voltage and the electrodes should be replaced.(4) If “no signal received” is displayed on the ECG channel, then the ECG60 M1.0 5-15-09
