<strong>Cardell</strong>® <strong>MAX</strong>-<strong>12</strong><strong>HD</strong> User’s ManualTo turn the ECG alarm sound on or off.7.5 Preparation for monitoring(1) Select correct electrodes(2) Connect electrodes to lead wires.(3) Attach electrodes to the patient correctly.WARNING: When connecting the electrodes or patient cable, make surethat they do not come in contact with any other conductive material orobject (a metal exam table, for instance).(4) Plug the ECG cable into the ECG receptacle on the side panel of themonitor.(5) When necessary, adjust the ECG setup.(6) Set the ECG alarm limits.7.6 Alarm SetupECG monitoring alarms include parameters out of limit alarms and abnormalstatus alarms. When the monitored parameters are out of the preset limits, themonitor will give an audible and visible alarm.7.6.1 Alarm Limit SetupDifferent parameters have different alarm limits. For different patients,different limits may be required.(1) Rotate the knob in ECG menu(2) Enter the alarm limit setup menu(3) Select the alarm limit of the corresponding parameter.WARNING: The default alarm limits are designed as general guidelines andfor convenience so that values can be reset automatically to common startingpoints, but these should be adjusted with each patient according to theirindividual circumstances.58 M1.0 5-15-09
