<strong>TUBE</strong> <strong>OR</strong> <strong>PROBE</strong> <strong>SEALING</strong> - <strong>PG</strong> <strong>GLANDS</strong>SEALANTGlands with type ‘B’ cap havea threaded extension on thecap for a conduit connection.The thread is the same size asthe gland mounting thread.<strong>PG</strong> glands are designed for sealing a single element, usually a tubeor probe, where it crosses a pressure or environmental boundary.Glands are available to carry elements in both metric and inchsizes from micro-probes of 1.0mm (0.040”) dia. to tubes and pipesof o.d.Applications for <strong>PG</strong> glands include:Pressure and vacuum sealing of thermocouples, RTD’s, dial-typethermometers, thermistor probes, glass thermometers, thermowells(pockets) - including those made from fragile materials, capilliarytubes and other sensor elements.Conax pressure and vacuum sealing assemblies can be specifiedfor use in a range of temperature, pressure and environmentalsituations by choosing a sealant that is suitable for the application.Replacement sealants are available to enable repeated use offittings.SEALANT SELECTION GUIDE<strong>PG</strong> gland parts are manufactured from Stainless Steel AISI grades316L (W.-Nr. 1.4404) and 303 (1.4305). Other materials, 316SS(NACE), Hastelloy C276, Monel 405 are available.
