I am always mindful of the professionalismof our staff who devote themselves to this extremely important part of theproperty scene. Greg runs our Rental Division and apart from his ownexcellent level of knowledge, he also ensures that his staff are particularlywell trained.There are so many facets to renting property today that experience tellsme that individuals looking after their own rentals is becoming unwise in somany areas. Loss of rental income combined with damage to propertiesare avoidable and in most cases a third party (property manager) taking thestresses of the day to day management away from the owner will ensurethat these things are avoided. We have a “zero tolerance” approach tothe collection of rent and the systems we have in place ensure that thisbecomes the “norm”.Probably the most critical aspect of property management is the selectionof very good tenants. How this is handled determines the good propertymanagers from the also rans. Owners are generally surprised at the levelof checks that we undertake on their behalf. From our point of view, itmakes sense to appoint a good tenant on all occasions as this makesfor a sound end result.
