Text 163] The lord Instructs Srila Rupa Gosvami 345chief creeper; ba(ii'-increasing; yaya-goes; vrndavana-to the lotus feet ofLord SrT Krr:Ja in Vrndavana.TRANSLATION"As soon as an intelligent devotee sees an unwanted creeper growingbeside the original creeper, he must cut it down instantly. Then the realcreeper of bhakti-lata-bija grows nicely, returns home, back to Godhead, andseeks shelter under the lotus feet of Krr:a.PURPORTIf one is misled by unwanted creepers and is victimized, he cannot makeprogress back to Godhead. Rather, he remains within the material world andengages in activities having nothing to do with pure devotional service.
